Hello, I am having difficulty creating a really simple flow for my courses. There seems to be a lot of unnecessary, confusing steps that are confusing to the user. This is what I am trying to achieve:
    1. Instructor assigns student to course, which only has 1 unit and 1 quiz.
    2. I would like it to go immediately into the course upon clicking start course.  Student starts course and reads through unit.
    3. Student completes quiz.
    4. Then, two possible outcomes: if student gets 100%, then they get the course completion page where the certificate is assigned and they see the "Congratulations" page (right after they click "Submit Quiz... no pages in between), or if they receive less than 100%, they are instructed to retake the course.
The way it is setup now is quite confusing to the user. There seems to be a lot of extra screens. When you click start quiz, can it immediately begin the quiz? With no screen in between. Currently, after a quiz is complete, it goes to a page where it shows the Total Marks, and then the user needs to click "Check Quiz Results" (even though the results are already on the screen)? Upon clicking that, it still doesn't seem to complete the course? It's kind of a dead end. As soon as the user clicks "Submit Quiz", I would like the course to be evaluated and certificate granted (congratulations screen), or a notice that they did not pass and they have to retake the quiz. I am pretty confident most of these things are probably just settings in the individual courses, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Again, I just want to this to be as simple as possible: Start course, complete unit and quiz, receive certificate or get told that you have to retake. No extra pages in between. Thanks, Mike

@damiko, If you have the updated version of the theme. Then you'll see this setting when you'll edit the quiz in the backend. disable this switch and then update. So you'll not see any result page after submission. If the user passes the quiz he will earn the certificate. Refer: http://prntscr.com/lq1hou

Hi Diana, please take a minute to view this quick video: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cFl6eqrzyc You will see that there are many useless steps that I need to eliminate. I have no doubt that these are useful for some clients, but for use they are very reduntant. But most importantly, the Course is not completing or awarding the certificate. This is what I am trying to achieve:
    1. User clicks "Start Course" from course list.
    2. Next page is the Course Status, when user clicks to proceed
    3. Show the first unit, user marks as complete, then clicks "Proceed to Quiz"
    4. Here it BEGINS the quiz (there's 2 extra screens here)
    5. As soon as user submits quiz, it goes straight to the Certificate page (if they fail, goes to results where they can retake).

@damiko, You are not using In course Quiz feature in which the quizzes will open inside the unit. If you will use this, then it will resolve some of your issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5q2FANx_Sc for the point no 5: When the user submits the quiz it will show a message that you have earned the certificate after clicking finish course otherwise it will show you are not passed in the quiz if the passing score is set. But exactly like the mentioned statement is not available

Okay, this is much better flow-wise, but the certificate didn't actually get assigned: Says it gets assigned after completion: https://i.imgur.com/kHBjVgs.png Doesn't show up in dashbaord: https://i.imgur.com/YCR4p5M.png

Actually, nevermind... disregard the above comment. It was an issue on my end. Sorry about that. And thanks for your help.
    1. So does this mean I lose the quiz progress indicator on the left side?
    2. Is there a way to hide the "Proceed to Quiz" button until the user marks unit complete?
    3. Is there a way to hide the submit button until all questions are answered?
    Thanks!

    Dear friend,
    1. No, it will only work according to the wplms settings. if it has the option it will work. we cant add some special codes dynamically to change it functionality. hope you understand.
    2. you can restrict the users so that they cant move to the quiz before completing current unit. refer: http://prntscr.com/lteoev you can find this setting in wp-admin > wplms > course manager.
    3. no there is not any setting to hide this because a quiz can have minus marking so that we could not force our users to complete the all questions even if there are not sure about an answer.
Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.
