March 15, 2017 at 7:46 am #101070AnjaaaaSpectatorHello, I just got an SSL certificate for my website http://learngermanwithania.com/ today and for some reason my students can't download my ebook anymore. It says "access denied". Any idea why? Thanks!March 15, 2017 at 7:47 am #101071AnjaaaaSpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.March 15, 2017 at 3:00 pm #101219Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease make sure that you have changes the url with https in your wordpress and site url settings wp-admin -> settings -> general . also after changing the settings please re-save the permalinks . So basically after purchasing my Ebook, my students get a link and also an email with a link, both don't work. They get messages like this:
403 Permission Denied
You do not have permission for this request /wp-content/uploads/ woocommerce_uploads/2016/09/Power-Deutsch-mit-Anja.pdf Invalid download link. Go to shop https://learngermanwithania.com/?download_file=3268&order=wc_order_58c8bf15c9444&email=ccorreia814%40verizon.net&key=e31dc929a230b93fbcb7b0c070d9a19c I would be happy if you could help me as I keep getting messages from people who are trying to download the book! Thanks in advance :)March 17, 2017 at 1:21 pm #101661Anshuman SahuKeymasterOkay now I got it . Can you please confirm if you are using woocommerce for selling ebook ? If yes then please login into your cpanel -> file manager -> find a file called .htaccess -> open it and check if you have any rule like "Deny All" ,simply remove that line. Second thing is please check if you have updated link of your ebook with https in the woocommerce product settings in product edit page in back end . Thirdly , try creating a new digital product with a new uploaded file and check if issue is replicating with this one also after purchase?
