Student memberships

Hello,

 

Why is it that when students are signing up and logging into the site I cannot see them as members in my PaidMembershipPro section of my Dashboard?

I have students including my own test account signed up to the site but when I go onto a site page admin and attempt to send a message out it does not sent out any messages.

I see no members as part of my site and wish to understand why when a person signs up to the site they are not automatically made members which I can view in Membership Pro.
