student redirect after login still doesn’t work

Hello, while most issues I had with the 4.0 version have been solved with the last update, one is still remaining: the student redirect after login still doesn't work. It will send to the home page instead. I have tried disabling and enabling the function but that doesn't work either. In fact it made it worse. Now I am back to the 404 page redirect whenever I want to access the profile or the dashboard. I have refreshed the BuddyPress navigation without success – even that button will open the 404 page. So again, I cannot do anything in the front end! Thanks, Wiebke

I had that issue before and at that time Alex found the reason (a bug in WPLMS 4). It would be great if he could look into it again.

he had just disabled the vibebp -> buddypress profile view

Hello, thanks for letting me know. I can reproduce it now by enabling or disabling public profiles. I remember disabling them before the problem came up again. Will that bug be corrected in a future update? I find it important to ensure the course participant's privacy. Besides, we have strict privacy regulations here in Europe and I doubt that a profile which is visible in the entire internet does fit with them. Best regards, Wiebke

ACtually in V4 we have provided public and private profiles . Public profile can be edited from wp-admin -> vibebp -> member layout . While the private profile is actually which loads after sometime when the token verify hit is complete when user is logged into system .

Hello, Sorry to come back on this issue. Do you have any news on when this will be fixed? Also, I can't find wp-admin -> vibepb -> member layout. I only find wp-admin -> vibepb -> member profile and wp-admin -> vibepb -> member card Which of these is public and which is private? Thanks, Wiebke

Hello Scott, I have the impression that you misunderstood my question. I did want to know the status of a known bug which is listed in Trello to be fixed; https://trello.com/c/KtbQZmI7/2425-issue-members-directory-view-admins-only-causing-new-profile-page-redirect-to-404 Shortly, this bug causes 404 errors when one activates the privacy settings. I do not want any information on course participants to be published on the internet. Partly because of the European GDPR legislation and partly because I work in B2B and my clients are sensitive about privacy. Alex suggested to me that in the meantime I modify the public member profile so that no information is on it. He gave me the path wp-admin -> vibebp -> member layout. But that path doesn't exist. I can only find wp-admin -> vibebp -> member card or wp-admin -> vibebp -> member profile. Which one is is public? Thanks, Wiebke
