Hello. I've been having issues transferring my site. I followed these steps: installed WP on new server with new url. setup 2nd instance of wplms and started the setup wizard went to old site and tried to run export as described here Had troubles with the export. Troubleshooting (due to error message from WP) memory limit and increased to 512M in php.ini -- didn't work. Unchecked BadgeOS-log-entry (others have complained about its size on their support site) --- it worked! Got the export, but file would not download - three browsers. Downloaded file from File Manager in cpanel. Now I had my file - returned to Setup Wizard in new install and uploaded file as described in above link. Didn't work. Completed install. Started Setup Wizard again and reattached file. It worked! However, many things are missing: Pages, configurations, units, product images in units, and perhaps more. I had to leave work, so I stopped there. Here is what I need now: How to fix the install. What exact steps should I take? How to get students, their history (badges, certificates, etc.) moved over to the new site? I'm fine doing some style changes, because I already have to change out the banner and other edits. But I need all the students, their data and course structure in tact! Please help! Login details to follow.

    Hey, MINIMUM THEME REQUIREMENTS :
WP Memory Limit: We recommend setting memory to at least 128MB. WP Max Upload Size: 128 MB PHP Post Max Size: 128 MB PHP Time Limit: 300 PHP Max Input Vars: 1000 Contact your web host for this
maybe it does not have enough memory that is why it is showing an error. if you use bulk import and export, it will import only courses, unit and user data but there are more details which will not be migrated. i will suggest you migrate your old site into the new one. that is the best way to prevent issues and data loss. we also follow this tutorial for the migration. use the second method as described in this tutorial. from here: http://prntscr.com/nwywvi link: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-from-local-server-to-live-site/

Okay. Funny thing is, the default of the server is 128 for memory and the "system status" keeps saying it's at 40M. I've even edited the php.ini. Not sure what the issue could be then. If I follow these directions, what about the current install? Will it simply override? Or will I need to delete the current install first?

Sure. The issue was that I have a site with over 400 members and a dozen courses. I needed to move it from my personal server to a whole new server and URL. I had found steps here on this site and followed them. I tried the export features in two places and never could get all the data moved over.  So... I learned (from you) that the best way was to migrate the whole site and database. Because I already had moved some data over (former export attempts) I deleted all content from the site folder via cpanel. I then followed all directions for Method 2 from the link you gave me: link: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-from-local-server-to-live-site/ I had to pay particular care to how I exported the database, as I have several accounts, so several databases. I had to be sure I had the right one and only exported that database. All other steps went fine.
