unit timing – not seen on student dashboard

I bought unit timing and tried it out..as an admin I can see students time spent on courses all right but on student dashboard, It says no data available..how can I fix this problem ? another thing I want to ask is If both admin and students can see time spent on units and quizzes ? how can students track their own timing ?
