viewing progress on section parts

Hi

how can i view section-based progress instead be viewing overall course-based progress,

say our section containing following modules / parts is added in course:-

• Section: Text & Video

                  o unit – textual lesson

                  o video unit – video lecture

                  o quiz – any type of quiz

                  o assignment – assignment containing questions to solve.

So

i want to view section progress like this: -

 section (overall) 75%

                  o unit textual lesson or whatever the type was selected – 35%

                  o video unit – 10%

                  o quiz – 10%

                  o assignment – 20%

what is the procedure to follow if we want to have this solution on our LMS.

this should also be available as / in gradebook so that the parents and instructors can view and have analysis about that.

for gradebook you might consider creating a totally new gradebook widget coz our does not have any provision to implement this .

how can i create new gradebook widget? can you guide me? is there any tutoriol etc?
