Hi, I have this problem to solve: my client organizes courses for 100 Companies, each Company has to manage his workers and decide which one to subscribe ti which course. E.g. Company "Foo" is created as Editor user, then after the person in charge for the Foo company logs in should creates students (his workers), and then should be able to enroll student A and B to a course, and student C, D and E to another one. Students has to do almost nothing, only follow courses. Let's say that we are able to create the Editor users for the 100 companies importing them in the database (one for each company), which is the best way to achieve what we described above, cosnsidering that we also have the WPLMS Batches plugin? Maybe create one group for each worker of the Company? Or create more groups of student for each Company according to the different courses categories? This is the main problem we have, without solving this matter our project for the client cannot work. Thanks a lot in advance for you kind support. Andrea

Ah, keep in mind that all the courses are free, so the manager does not have to buy anything.

You need to create the groups or the manager of the company will create the group and make sure they are the administrator of the group. Now the group/batch admin can connect courses to the batch, set the number of seats, etc and manage the students present in the batch. If the students are registered on the website then the batch admin can add them manually in the batch. There are many tutorials for wplms batches on youtube which you can refer.

I'll have a look but I am not sure I have understood everything. We need to allow group manager (Company) to subscribe one, more or all group member to certain courses. How can I obtain this? Please explain in detail as we have spent so much time so far trying to understand. Also, how can we send automatic reminders to group admins (Companies) about courses that are about to start? And for events? Can we announce and remind events automatically to group managers (Companies)? Please be patient, we are used to understand and study things without support, but in this case we really need your help. Thanks a lot Andrea

The batches settings overrides the course settings, therefore you do not have to remind the start date of course to the batch admin. The batch admin can set their own start date in the batch settings, refer: http://prntscr.com/en0zau Every batch can have its own start date and time, for example there are 2 batches and one has start date of 1 April and another has the start date of 1 May, then the student of the 1st batch can start the course on 1 April but the students of the second batch can start the course only on the 1st May. For adding students in the batch the admin can add them manually, refer: http://prntscr.com/en10pq or the student can join the group. But the events are connected to the course only therefore this cannot be done automatically.

1) Yes its already available and I have already shared the screenshot for the same, refer: http://prnt.sc/en0zau Let me know where are you facing issues related to this setting. 2) 100 companies means that you have to create 100 groups, if you are not charging any money for the group then you can create the group yourself and add the company manager as the group admin. If you are charging for the group can you can use the [buy_batch] to create a form and then the company managers can purchase the batch/group and automatically the group will be created and the manager will become the group admin. Refer the tutorial for the buy batch: https://vibethemes.com/documentation/wplms/knowledge-base/wplms-buy-batch-feature/ 3) In a group you can go to the members tab to check the members present in the group. OK. everything looks fine, the only problem is enrollment. Please follow carefully this example or you won't understand. The site admin (my client) creates one group for each company, one superuser for each company and assigns the administration of each group to the relevant superuser. Then, one Company add users (manually, registering them one by one): I have two plugins, one for automatic Group Memeberhip choice at registration, and one that auto-approve new registration. So, after registering new users, the Company Manager will find users in its Company Group when he will log in again. In this way one Company registers its users and then it finds the users in its group. So far, so good. The problem arises with enrollments. Keep in mind that not all Company users will enroll a certain course. E.g. 3 users will enroll course "A" and 7 users will enroll course "B". To achieve this, if I'm not going wrong, the Company has to create two batches, named e.g. "Course A" and "Course B" and add users manually to these batches. The batches will be connected to the two courses. Every time that the Company Manager needs to enroll student in a course, he has to create one or more new batches and add users to them in order to have users subscribed. But at this point what is the meaning of the original Group for the Company? This is too difficult and error prone for the Company manager, but, as far as I have understood, there is no other way to do that. Furthermore, adding users to batch is at risk because when choosing members to add to the batch, the Company manager can see ALL the users of ALL the Companies and this could lead to errors in case of similar names. Please tell me if I am wrong and if I can do better then this. I had another idea, that's when the site admin creates a course, he could create a public course group with bacth enabled for that course, then the Company Mangers could add users to that group and the user would be automatically enrolled in the course. But the problem is that to add members to a group, also if it is public, a Group Admin is needed, and so the site admin should add all the Company Manager accounts as Group Administrators of the Course Group, and considering that they are about 100 the operation is not a breeze. And this should be done for every course! Also, is there something I am missing here? Please evaluate this 2 solutions to see if I'm doing wrong, or add a new solution if you can. Once solved the enrolment problem, the other things are acceptable and we can start working a the project. Thanks Andrea

1) You do not have to create new batches for different courses, you can connect different courses in the same batch also, refer: http://prntscr.com/enxkqj 2) Yes the group admin can be confused while adding the members in the batch by their names, so to avoid this the user email address can be used as its unique for every user. ---------- Yes you can create course and add batches in it refer: http://prntscr.com/enxmdn You can create a public batch, so the users can go to the batch/group page and join it, refer: http://prntscr.com/enxnkr In this way the group admin will not have to add all the users manually but the users can themselves open the group page and then join it. After enrolling all the students you can limit the seats or set the group as private so that other users cannot join it.

Consider that for this project user/students do not exist, meaning that they have to do NOTHING, everyting is done by the relevant Company Manager. Because of this my question was: the Company Manager should add members to the public batch, but to do so every Company manager should be Administrator of the group, or is there another way? If there is not another way, how can the Administrator add all the Company Managers (about 100) in bulk to the Course group? I think this is the only solution! If we exclude this solution, the Company Mangers will have to create the batches, and add or modify them in case of a new course in which he does not want to enroll the same students/workers as the course before. You understand that creating batches is not a simple operation for him, my client asked us to leave as easy as possible operations for Company Managers. Thanks a lot Andrea

Bulk users cannot be added in the batch as of now, but I am developing a new plugin for this purpose which I'll share with you by Monday.
