The problem is .. may be you are not doing it in proper manner. lets start from fresh: Steps:

1. go to loco translator and select wplms theme:
2. look for English (United States) click on copy and set as http://prntscr.com/m4ewzc
3. and click on start translating. 
4. Here you can get two cases :
   •  You will redirected to the page like this (http://prntscr.com/m4ey0e ).
   • Or You will get error like (vibe-en_US.po file allready exist) ---> if this one then go to LOCO Translator --> Themes ->wplms -> and look for English (United States) you will see more than one file, delete all except one. and follow step 1 to 4.
5. Search for your words carefully and set their translator.
6. then click on save and then sinc.

Do same steps with vibe-course-module plugin , if your word is in vibe course module.

Please follow the tip: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/translate-using-loco-translate-plugin/ If you are doing as per instruction given in above tip. then your changes will save in global file. which is not part of theme. global files are in folder  wp-content -> language . so your translation will be safe in theme update too.
