Dear colleagues, I struggle to get the Custom Course Navigation working - please advice where I'm getting it wrong. I've created two custom sections (books and schedule), they DO show up where expected, but their content does not display. Here's the link to two sections - page is just blank: http://inflexio.ru/course/dipifr-ochnyj-kurs?action=books&books http://inflexio.ru/course/dipifr-ochnyj-kurs?action=schedule&schedule I've re-saved the permalinks (/books and /shedule). I've managed to enter description of these custom sections in course page, but the content still does not show. I'm using all the latest theme and plugins (2.0.9.3 etc). WPLMS Course Custom Nav Plugin itself is version 1.0 What am I missing? Kind regards, Kirill

You do not have to add the content in the description area, its just a small description area for your custom nav menu. For adding the content in it edit the course and then add the content in it from the settings section, refer the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/b0176g Every course can have their different contents therefore for adding the content the setting is given in the edit course page. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Latiyan, but this is exactly what I did. See the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/b019o8 I have some text in both of these newly created sections - and I have added them in the course page (i.e. when I edited the course). Still it does not show up. What can be the reason?

We need to check some settings, so please share your admin credentials and url of that course to check this at your end . PS: mark reply as private while sharing credentials .

Here's the problematic course: http://inflexio.ru/wp-admin/post.php?post=6425&action=edit The new sections are just below the batches switch. login: master pass: best2015fm You may change things into English temporarily if needed for a short period of time. Many thanks for your help.

I checked your site and found out you had selected the course and also all courses in the custom section. When you select the courses there is a "or" in between which clearly means that you can select the particular courses to show that section or all the courses, so you have to select only one. So I removed the course and left all courses and saved the sections and then checked your site and it was working fine. Please check and confirm.

Thank you for your help. Together we're getting closer to the solution (working as intended), but not yet quite :) Can I ask for more help from your side? True: after you removed my course and put the ALL check, the sections DO display. And here the mistique starts. I need the sections to be course-specific. After I uncheck the ALL mark and select a specific course like here: http://prntscr.com/b0g1wi I save everything and... And it does not save! Here's the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/b0g3al So I save sections (using the only Save button at the bottom of the sections) and when I re-open the course navigation settings page it all comes to the original position. I thought it was a browser problem, but I tried the same operation twice: in IE9 and in Firefox. So a resume: It does not save specific course now. Can you help with this please? I have made the course starting from English letters (dipifr) so that you could try it on your non-Cyrillic keyboard.

Ok I checked the code for this and found a bug. I have updated the plugin, please refer: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/wplms-course-custom-nav-plugin/ Download the new plugin and replace the old one and then check it will work fine.

Latiyan, I did as you said: replaced the plugin. Well, my test results are mixed. The good thing is that it now saves the settings for the specific course, and the nav sections appear only in the specified courses. All as expected. Here's the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/b0n3ze Just a notice: at the same time it still does not react to my checking/unchecking the ALL COURSES mark. That is not the issue from my side, though, as long as it displays the correct sections in correct place. However, there's a worse issue now, evident in both IE9 and latest Firefox. When I try editing the course as either admin or the instructor (front-end or back-end) the new custom sections DO appear but their content does not save. Here's the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/b0n6o6 Moreover, the list of custom fields (lower on the course editing page) does NOT contain these fields (the newly created navigation sections) at all. Here's the link to the course so that you don't have to look: http://inflexio.ru/wp-admin/post.php?post=6425&action=edit PS Looks like when it comes to this nice feature I'm the only tester out there? ;) Anyway, gradually we're getting there. Thank you for your patience with the feedback.

Well when i checked the it was working fine in firefox  please check : http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDh1jo1N2v Please note that when the all courses check is enabled for a section it  will ignore the courses selected in the select box . I detected that while editing the all courses check is always checked . I have fixed that problem and update the plugin again . thanks for reporting the issue .

Alex, I give up. Your fix does not help. I understand it's working on your model installation and does not work on mine. Unfortunately, I need it working on mine :) I'll get my developer to sort it out.

Okay but please let us know the issue . Few questions : Have you changed the slug of the custom section ? Have you edited the custom section ? Can you please provide exactly what issue you are facing with proper steps? Please also share your site url and admin credentials to check the issue . PS : mark reply as private while sharing credentials.

Alex I have installed the plugin today and I am getting the same issue that the content is not visible. I have selected only one course but after saving when I revisited the settings of the new section added It shows a tick on the ALL courses check box. Please help.

Okay please check the version of the plugin (It should be 1.2 ) . Please also note here that when you are editing a section you have to click on the close icon to update the changes . refer : http://prntscr.com/bj2mfi
