November 9, 2015 at 9:07 pm #7865datajunkeeSpectatorWe noticed recently that our site that is running WPLMS has started acting odd. No matter what course you're on, and regardless of if you have started it before or it's brand new, the Start Course button will postback (you can see the page reload) and then it just sits there without actually starting the course. The debug log is super clean and I don't see any console errors (aside from a weird connection issue on woocommerce.css - which I wish wasn't loaded at all) Your help would be appreciated. If you need Admin access please let me know and I will provide privately.November 9, 2015 at 9:08 pm #7867datajunkeeSpectatorAccess info: learning.beeline.com Username: wplms password: in a separate private replyNovember 9, 2015 at 9:10 pm #7868datajunkeeSpectatorpassword: ENYB(yVoxvxm#d0o!$(PN2p6November 10, 2015 at 11:34 am #8014Anshuman SahuKeymasterChecked out the site and found the wplms theme was outdated . Please update the wplms theme (version 1.9.9.1). Please refer : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/auto-updating-wplms/ https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/manually-updating-wplms/ Also make sure that the course status page is connected from wplms -> course manager and its template is slected to be "Start course Page" .November 10, 2015 at 11:59 am #8038datajunkeeSpectatorFantastic. I just updated the theme and now the site doesn't load at all. I can't even get to the admin. Further, the site shouldn't just STOP working because the theme isn't up to date. The Start Course function was working just fine. So now I'm in an even worse position than I was when we started.November 10, 2015 at 12:13 pm #8046datajunkeeSpectatorWith a little database manipulation I was able to reset my theme options and get the site running again. Previously we had the WPLM Child Theme v 1.0 as our Active theme but after updating to the WPLMS theme v 1.9.9.1 the site wouldn't load with those settings. We actually had to set the WPLMS theme as our Active theme. The site loads fine but this makes me wonder if we're missing anything. Now, back to the ORIGINAL problem...it's still broken. The Continue Course and Start Course buttons do nothing. Please look into the actual problem.November 11, 2015 at 10:06 am #8169sandyMemberI checked your site. The most important setting was missing from your setup. screenshot : http://prntscr.com/91hrtd Please check the documentation for faster resolution of such issues : http://vibethemes.com/envato/wplms/documentation/ Check the quick installation guide. Let me know if this issue is resolved.November 11, 2015 at 10:13 am #8170datajunkeeSpectatorOkay, so while that helps me get things running again it exposes a different problem...the site has been running FOR MONTHS! We haven't touched the theme or the config for a very long time. Why would these values suddenly disappear and what else could possibly have reverted or reset its value. This is very disturbing.November 13, 2015 at 8:38 am #8384Anshuman SahuKeymasterThe settings are save into database and it cannot be updated unless or untill someone updated it . It just cannot be updated on its own .July 20, 2018 at 10:30 am #169911isfedParticipantHi! I have the same problem as Datajunkee. When we click on the start the course button i loads the same course page without actually starting the course. We are currently working on the website and purchased it 2 weeks ago, I don't think it's a question of updates. Thanks for your help! laurieJuly 20, 2018 at 10:58 am #169923DianaParticipant@isfed, Make sure that the course status page is connected from wplms -> course manager and its template is selected to be "Start course Page" .July 20, 2018 at 11:49 am #169934isfedParticipantI just checked that. The problem now is when I go to wpmls - course manager - take this course page, I don't have the option for course status.July 21, 2018 at 6:45 am #170002DianaParticipant@isfed, search whether you have a page or not in your site with start course page template. If it is not then create a page and set the page template as start course. If you still have any issue then please create your own topic because we cannot assist you on other's topic and it is difficult for us to track the progress of your issue
