Also the custom css added via visual composer seems to be working fine but it seems as if the caching is enabled. So the changes does not reflect on the site. So it is advised to clear the cache or disable the 3rd party plugin you are using.
Go to wp-admin->appearance->customiser->add custom CSS-> add these lines and save.
To fix the huge space issue

After making changes in the visual composer you need to click on update page to save the changes.
Otherwise the changes are not saved.
Also i am unable to see the screenshot, use prntscr for sharing screenshots.
