June 23, 2020 at 2:07 pm #270101gersapphireParticipantHi. Even though I followed the steps in your video, I'm having serious difficulty getting BadgeOS and Badge Social Sharing to work properly with WPLMS. When the email is sent acknowledging achievement of the badge, and the link "Share" is clicked by the user, it links back to my WPLMS site "EDITING BASE PROFILE GROUP" appears on the screen ( the page url is: mysite address/members/the users name/edit/group/1). So I noticed there was an update to the BadgeOS social sharing that you have in the video, I thought that may fix things, but when I updated, I get the message below on my course pages: Notice: Undefined variable: post in /var/www/vhosts/15/324753/webspace/siteapps/WordPress-107008/htdocs/wp-content/themes/wplms/includes/func.php on line 1605 Notice: Trying to get property 'post_author' of non-object in /var/www/vhosts/15/324753/webspace/siteapps/WordPress-107008/htdocs/wp-content/themes/wplms/includes/func.php on line 1605June 24, 2020 at 12:02 pm #270338SteveMemberHello @gersapphire Actually you can ignore this, this functionality will not affect or harm the notice in any way. Thank youJune 24, 2020 at 5:08 pm #270427gersapphireParticipantHi, thanks for getting back, I can't really ignore this as my users see this really large on the screen and think the site is broken. There's a new version of the Badge OS plugin today (not the Badge OS Social) and when I updated, the message has changed, Notice: Undefined variable: post in /var/www/vhosts/15/324753/webspace/siteapps/WordPress-107008/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/vibe-course-module/includes/bp-course-functions.php on line 994 Notice: Trying to get property 'ID' of non-object in /var/www/vhosts/15/324753/webspace/siteapps/WordPress-107008/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/vibe-course-module/includes/bp-course-functions.php on line 994June 24, 2020 at 5:11 pm #270430gersapphireParticipantCan't ignore this one either: when users click the 'Share' link in the email it takes them to my WPLMS site "EDITING BASE PROFILE GROUP" appears on the screen ( the page url is: mysite address/members/the users name/edit/group/1). Can you help? I really need to get the social sharing working as per the WPLMS video. Thanks!June 25, 2020 at 11:42 am #270602DianaParticipant@gersapphire I think your WebHost enabled WP_Debug in wp-confirg.php Please ask your webhsost to set it to false and these notices will be removed and for the second part please share a recording here so I can understand it betterJune 25, 2020 at 2:47 pm #270654gersapphireParticipantOK, cheers! I'll do both now, thanks for getting back, much appreciated.June 25, 2020 at 4:26 pm #270669gersapphireParticipantHi, so WP_debug was not enabled. (see video) https://youtu.be/nHcDpIc3h9w I also made sure the debugging was off in the Badge OS plugin too. But I'm still getting the error message on screen as per the screengrab below.June 25, 2020 at 4:28 pm #270670gersapphireParticipantScreenshot belowJune 25, 2020 at 4:30 pm #270671gersapphireParticipantJune 25, 2020 at 4:38 pm #270674gersapphireParticipantVideo as requested, showing the other problem I'm running into - Share error link on the Badge OS social Sharing email, instead of social media options, it brings users back to the site https://youtu.be/jswl0Geteag Thanks!June 25, 2020 at 4:47 pm #270677gersapphireParticipantAlso, a video of the error message occuring, to give you a better idea:
- Click on a quiz - error appears.
- disable the plugin and refresh the browser, the error goes.
