Add Login trigger / popup

Hi, I am using demo8 with app style header. I want to add an extra trigger / pop up on a link the header menu. To highlight the login function. I don't want to redirect to the wplogin.php, but let the user remain on the page. How to achieve this? Kind regards

Thanks. I don't really see how this is the same? I guess it should be possible to fix it with jquery but i can't seem to get it to function. I added a custom link in the main menu nav bar that I want to trigger the popup with. See: https://zakelijk.soofos.nl (not logged in)

In the app header style you need to trigger click on #login_trigger: like: jQuery('#login_trigger').trigger('click');
