    Is there a way to enroll users in a batch from the backend rather than invites?

    Yes only the admins can manually add students into a batch from backend but moderators can only invite students.

    I am an admin and I don't see how to add students into a batch. Please advise.

    When you edit the batch/group in backend you get the option to add members in settings, refer: http://prntscr.com/cybhuo
