Hi, I'm having troubles with BP Social Connect.
When I register through this plugin this is what happens:
- username = mail
- name = empty
- family name = empty
- nickname = mail
- bio = empty
Is there a way to let it automatically fill the empty ones?
P.S. i set in map fields (in BP Social Connect) id = name. I don't have description = bio

You need to map the fields, I am assuming you have already mapped the name, now you just need to map the bio field. If you do not have any bio field then just go to wp-admin->users->profile fields, and create bio field.

1) The API that we are using do not fetch bio field from the facebook, so you cannot get bio field of the user from the facebook or google.
So you can either leave the field empty or map it with some other field (which I guess is not appropriate).
2) Yes the course code overrides the pricing.

1. To set the full name as display name just set the name next to name profile field in Facebook and Google settings of bp social connect :

Thanks Alex, but I tried with no luck. Still empty Name and Family name fields. Now only with facebook, also display name is not correct (no more full name but email adress).
Ok, as I understand from this topic you have two questions :
Why aren't;t we fetching more information from Facebook so that you can map this information in bio and family fields?
Answer : If we add more controls then the Facebook app would require approval from facebook and a notification will be displayed to the user that the app wants to access more data and it could look suspicious because the main aim is to register and login the user.
if you share the site link we can also test this and share more details on this.
Okay i checked your site and following are my findings :
1. Registered through facebook on your site .Name was showing correct to me but there were some numbers in my buddypress name field .
looks like you have mapped the id parameter of the facebook to the first name field of buddypress .
2. There was no last name field in your setup at all .
So how will you be mapping the last name field .
Needed site url and admin credentials to check this issue further on your site .Thanks .
