August 19, 2021 at 8:38 pm #368685thesanwebParticipantHi, where exactly do I configure the course duration before it expires to the person who bought the course, cause i configured that at LMS -> Courses -> (Course that i created) and on this Course Configuration area seen on screenshot here (its on spanish) 1303 days (expires) https://imgur.com/a/EuvRSsM But to a client, the course expirred last week and he bought it like 3 months ago , is there anywhere else i can configure the course expiration? My site is https://olaexpansiva.com/, do have a valid license for the plugin ThanxAugust 20, 2021 at 11:04 am #368730VeronicaModeratorhi For existing users, you can extend the course duration from the course admin area, refer: http://prntscr.com/g91uvkAugust 24, 2021 at 10:43 pm #369131thesanwebParticipantThanx for the help. But how do i avoid, doing that in the first place, or having unlimited access to the course or lets say for 4 years of access? thanxAugust 25, 2021 at 11:41 am #369156VeronicaModeratorhi you can set the course duration to 9999 i.e unlimited and if you want to set the unlimited duration for the paid course then. you can set the subscription duration the sameAugust 26, 2021 at 2:51 am #369207thesanwebParticipantHi thanx for help, so when you say, " if you want to set the unlimited duration for the paid course then. you can set the subscription duration the same" So where do i set subscription duration for paid course then?August 26, 2021 at 11:35 am #369232VeronicaModeratorhi with the course duration the course will expiry after the time set and with the subscription duration the user will become unable to access the course Consider course duration as the maximum duration of a course within which the student should complete the course. Subscription duration is the pricing option for which you want to give access to the student on purchase of a product. Example: You have a maths course for one year, and pricing is $10 per week. Year = Course Duration Week = Subscription duration The course duration is the duration of the course and it comes into the picture when the course product does not have a subscription and is a full course. Now if the product is a full course with no subscription then when the user is added (either by purchasing the product or added by the admin manually) the student is added for this course duration. But if you have a subscription product connected to the course then the student the subscription period will be of that of the connected product duration . Yes, you can set the course duration to “9999” days to make it unlimited. refer: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/wplms-woocommerce-subscriptions-addon/August 29, 2021 at 10:15 pm #369472thesanwebParticipantHi,i understand, well i dont have a subscription business model, the model, is 1 time payment of the course, and with that you have unlimited access to the course, so no need to get a subscription add on. So in order to achieve unlimited access in terms of time, with 1 time payment i should set course duration to 9999, i did set that here, https://imgur.com/a/xtI41rF (screenshot, Duracion del curso means Course Duration in Spanish) so with that the course should be set to unlimited? Also last question. The reason the 2 users (they were test users), could not access the course after 3 months (i mean they could access their student backoffice but the course did not appear as active therefore could not access the coourse lessons anymore) was that when those 2 test users bought the course it was set to 3 months (course duration) and later i updated it to 3 years of course duration, so the course duration limit did not update for those 2 users, right? thanxAugust 30, 2021 at 1:22 pm #369533VeronicaModeratorhi for this, you need to check what is the subscription duration of the product and also note: if you have set the duration to 2 months and then the user buy that product and after buying it you changed the product subscription to the unlimited then that updated duration will not be applied to the already bought user you need to reset the duration for that userAugust 30, 2021 at 3:54 pm #369558thesanwebParticipantHi, where do i check the subscription duration? Also, how do you reset the duration for the user, then?August 31, 2021 at 12:32 pm #369615VeronicaModeratorwp-admin>>products>>edit the product then you will get the subscription duration http://prntscr.com/1qvngqn and from here extend the subscription: http://prntscr.com/1qvnifsSeptember 2, 2021 at 5:21 pm #369846thesanwebParticipantHi, then i need to put subscription duration for 9999? checked on my site and that subscription duration is empty https://imgur.com/a/0yCRVCS (screenshot) Or if i set course duration to 9999 is enough to make it unlimited, in terms of unlimited access to the course? https://imgur.com/a/xtI41rF (screenshot of course duration) thanxSeptember 2, 2021 at 5:27 pm #369847thesanwebParticipantHi, just a little note to previous message Course duration is already set to 9999 as seen on screenshot.September 3, 2021 at 1:23 pm #369927VeronicaModeratorwell it will work if you have not connected the subscription and add course duration to 9999 but if the user is assigned at the time at which the course duration is not set to unlimited then it will be expired for the user you can test and replicate this on your site if you face any issue now then you can let us knowSeptember 8, 2021 at 9:49 pm #370279thesanwebParticipantOk thanx, so what u mean by not connected the subscription? Other query, so if user is assigned at the time at which the course duration is not set to unlimited, can u tell me again, how do i extend its membership? Its by extending subscription duration, right? Or here, http://prntscr.com/1qvngqnSeptember 9, 2021 at 8:31 am #370298VeronicaModeratorThis reply has been marked as private.
