Hello again! :)
I add a student to a course, but the student can't take the course (Course expired). So, I have updated the course duration field to 9999, the product linked is not a subscription.
But the student doesn't see the correct data, you can see this in attachment image (the word "ore" is "hours" ;) ).
Ok,
When user subscribes to a course, we set the expiry time of the user for the course "at the time of subscription".
So, 0 ORE in above screenshot displays the time remaining for the user in the course and this the button states course expired. So the above duration is displayed differently for different users, it is not static.
To fix this, you can either
- Remove the user from the course and then add her back again.
- Or increase the subscription duration of the user from Course -Admin area
Ok, now it works, but...
1. Total number of Students in course is now set to 2, but I removed the user and added him back again, so it should be set to 1. I know that I could correct this number manually, but it's important that the system corrects it automatically, otherwise there are wrong data when there are many users who take a course...
2. I thought that the duration of the course defines the total lesson time (e.g. if a course is structured in 10 lessons of 1 hour for each, the total duration is 10 hours), like in the most important elearning web sites, for example in lynda.com and in udemy.com for each course is shown the total duration in hours of lessons, link:
http://www.lynda.com/Developer-training-tutorials/50-0.html?bnr=NMHP_blocks
So , how can I set this value separately from the duration of the (access to the) course?
I hope that my English is understandable... :)
1. Go to WP Admin - WPLMS - Course manager - Course student count accurace, set it to enable, now everytime you visit the Course - Admin area, the count is recalculated and updated.
2. No, the Course duration is the maximum duration within which the course should be completed.
We can add this option to show the sum of all unit times in course details in Vibe Custom types next update.
