May 2, 2019 at 2:42 pm #207364wailokccBlockedI am not able to create different curriculum for different batches. I have followed the tutorial, but there is an error of loading the batch [Problem 1], as shown in the screenshot: https://snag.gy/bwMoJj.jpg Besides, there is some styling problems in demo 14 [problem 2].May 2, 2019 at 2:43 pm #207365wailokccBlockedThis reply has been marked as private.May 3, 2019 at 1:47 pm #207481Scott LangModeratorWell first you have to save the curriculum for the batch first then it will show : Here is video: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqheI7ZmTo first you have to select the batch , then add or remove some units and build your curriculum for the selected batch . then hit the save curriculum button : this will save the current curriculum your viewing for the selected batch , now reload the page and then try to load curriculum of the same selected batch .May 4, 2019 at 3:49 am #207538wailokccBlockedI did the following steps to create batch curriculum:
- Save the default curriculum for the batch
- Load the batch curriculum
- Add a new unit "99999" for the batch
- Save the new curriculum for the batch
May 6, 2019 at 1:05 pm #207799Scott LangModeratorHi, refer this for non logged in user:http://prntscr.com/nl2t8s After then loaded the batch curriculum: http://prntscr.com/nl2ts7 Now : logged in user : http://prntscr.com/nl2udy and non logged in use :http://prntscr.com/nl2v43May 7, 2019 at 7:58 am #207946wailokccBlockedThank you for your explanation. I believe I found out the exact issues of setting curriculums:- Saving batch curriculums (i.e. Batch1 and Batch2 in my website) should not override the default curriculum. Currently, any changes made on batch curriculums will completely override the whole default curriculum.
- It is expected that updating the default curriculum should also update all batch curriculums with common modules (but not overriding independent batch modules). The default curriculum should be the core modules (e.g. Module A), and all batch groups should have the access to the core modules. Besides, there may be individual electives (e.g. Module B & C) in corresponding batch curriculums. For example, Batch1 has modules A+B, while Batch2 has modules A+C. Currently, it is very difficult to manage a course with many batch groups. If there is a new core module, I have to add this module to the default curriculum and all batches one-by-one manually.

There are two "save curriculum " button , one for course and the other for batches . Its will not automatically save on updating the curriculum . It will save the current curriculum present which you are seeing when you click on save curriculum button . now for what it will save the current curriculum your are viewing ? This depends on : whether you clicked the course's save curriculum button or batches save curriculum button . refer : http://prntscr.com/nllew9May 7, 2019 at 3:19 pm #208075wailokccBlockedThank you for your explanation, and I am now able to create different cirriculums. However, it seems that I found another issue of multiple batches:- A user is participating in 2 batches (https://snag.gy/p65Yyd.jpg)
- There are different sets of modules for batch1 (https://snag.gy/JcC27n.jpg) and batch2 (https://snag.gy/1vXnqg.jpg)
- But the user can only see the modules of batch1 (https://snag.gy/pHbR4Z.jpg)

Thank youMay 16, 2019 at 2:23 pm #209448DianaParticipant@wailokcc Yes, checked the code and found it a bug. It is just that we forgot this use case and that's why it is not working for this situation. I will update you by tomorrow.May 21, 2019 at 9:59 am #210061DianaParticipant@wailokcc I have to change the code inside the batches plugin. For now, use an alternative and for the common users who are in both the batches. Create another batch for themMay 23, 2019 at 8:03 am #210366wailokccBlockedOkay thanks.
