How to change the background color in the 'All Courses Directory'

Hello, I have become very familiar with your system and have found almost all of my answers on my own but this one has been plaguing me for over two hours. I just want to change the background from white to #DDDDDD in the All Courses page. Nothing I do from playing with CSS or changing the themes has done the trick. Would love some help!

Please share your URL so that I can test the custom CSS. also share a screenshot with demarcation so that I can share your one-shot remedy.

No need to worry, I was able to figure out a way around it by removing the custom CSS and then re-loading a demo that match up to what I was doing then changed everything back and that worked for me :)
