August 17, 2016 at 9:58 am #65017tgd0SpectatorI often create coursed with many chapters and units and the front end is not suitable for that. Here are some improvments you can make:
- Smaller hight of the lesson row.
- Repeat Create Buttons (Section,Unit,Quiz) to every section so we don't have to drag and drop on very long pages:
- Add a Move to Section action button so we can easy make changes to curriculum structure.
- Take a look at creation mechanism of this product (https://themeforest.net/item/education-wordpress-theme-education-wp/14058034). It's very fast to create a curriculum and edit right from the Course Edit.
August 17, 2016 at 10:02 am #65021tgd0SpectatorI added screenshots in post but I see they didn't show up. 1. Line Hight: http://prnt.sc/c6sd2t 2. Create Buttons Block: http://prnt.sc/c6sdf7 3. Move Unit to Section: http://prnt.sc/c6seix 4. Fast Curriculum Creation Mechanism: http://prnt.sc/c6sdu9 Regards, DanielAugust 29, 2016 at 11:32 am #67459MrVibeKeymasterNot in denial but please do a proper check when asking for features. 1. Why lesser height ? any specific reason ? 2,3. We have a better plan for this and already in construction, duplicating the button will only make it messy and is a poor UX. Thanks for suggesting. 4. I am not sure how 1,2,3 apply on this course creation process. Check the course creation process of WPLMS : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk3BnAJOOmI Instructors are not well adept for WP backend process, and the front end process is way much easier to manage and build curriculum and not from the WP admin panel.September 2, 2016 at 4:53 pm #68598tgd0Spectator1. The reason behind 1 is that for long curriculum is a waste of space, personally I resolve this with css code. You are right with thisInstructors are not well adept for WP backend process, and the front end process is way much easier to manage and build curriculum and not from the WP admin panel.
That's why I suggested to extract the mechanism from the link and implement it on front end, not to implement it in back-end, also it will be nice to have it there also. I will wait your solution for 2 and 3.Not in denial but please do a proper check when asking for features.
I put all the images (copy paste inline), i didn't know they will not be shown on the post. Sorry for that. You have a great product but I'm working a lot with large curriculum courses and the frontend as it is now it's a nightmare with all refreshes and page changes to next section. With backend it's impossible for me to work with anyway but the front end is almost workable. Please add some ergonomic elements to frontend creation mechanism so I can be committed to use your great LMS platform. Thanks -
