Login Issue from Homepage 1.9.9.1

Hi, I´m not able to login from the homepage. Not with admin user or instructor user. Updated to 1.9.9.1 and all plugins are updated. Have no 3:rd party plugins installed. The given URL contains. ?post_type=course&s=&log="userid"&pwd="password"&testcookie=1 Note "userid" and "password" shows my login credentials in the browser. I saw in another thread in the forum that this was an issue, and should be fixed to 1.9.9.1, but not for me.

Unable to replicate . Please share your site url and admin credentials to check the issue at your end  . PS :mark reply as private while sharing the info  . Please also try deactivating the third party plugins(specially caching or login related ) by renaming the plugin folder name via ftp if you are not able to login even as admin .

Hi, Yes, it works now, thanks. What happens with an update of the modern theme, will I have to do this again, or will the new update include this "form" code? /Danny

Modern will not have an auto update. We would be releasing the modern theme with some fixed .In that case you have manually delete the old modern theme and install the new modern theme and refer the same tip to fix that login issue if that issue appears again  .

Hi Alex and thanks for the info. Just a question, will menu and widgets be untouched if we have to delete and install the modern theme from time to time?

If you replace the theme via FTP, there would be no changes. But if you replace it via logging into wp admin, deactivating and again re-activating, menu and widgets will be lost. Hope this helps.

Hi, I still have the login issue sometimes. For some days it works if I add the form code <form></form> but then it stops working. Do you know whats going on with the .php file, and why the code-string is deleted after a while? I mean we can´t add the code manual in the long run.

Please try the quick fix modern theme is a child theme and it will get one or two updates or more in the future .

Yes the quick fix works but would be good to not have to do this manual in the future.
