February 2, 2016 at 7:47 pm #24568jgerstParticipantFor some reason, now when you log into communitelligence.com and hit login in it takes you to the wordpress login screen http://www.communitelligence.com/wp-login.php which requires that I fill out UN and PW again. What setting do I need to change to not have this going to the wp login page? Thanks,February 3, 2016 at 5:31 am #24683sandyMember1. We tried opening the login and it seems login is opening up fine : http://prntscr.com/9yd58a 2. If we input wrong values then it take you to the wp-login.php screen. 3. Does this happen even if you enter correct credentials? if yes, can you share some test credentials to check the issue.February 3, 2016 at 5:29 pm #25021jgerstParticipantTry logging in as un: wplms pw: Wa%yB(PfKO5a%j&n!$V1arXv You should see it makes you login in again on wp. I set you as an admin so you could also address the other update wplms plugin issues I'm having.February 4, 2016 at 8:11 am #25182Anshuman SahuKeymasterYep i was able replicate the issue at your site. But was nto able to replicate this on our test and demo sites . so this must be a third party plugin is causing issues . Please try deactivating the third party plugins specially the caching plugin in your site for once .February 4, 2016 at 5:29 pm #25427jgerstParticipantI have deactivated all 3rd party plugins and tried again but the problem persists. Is there a setting somewhere that triggers the wplms login to go to wp-admin login? Other ideas?February 6, 2016 at 2:03 pm #26110H.K. LatiyanParticipantThe user is redirected to WP Login page when the front end login fails. When you're redirected to WP Login screen, do you see any error ? If yes, please share a screenshot of the same. Also, are you hosted on WP Engine ? if yes, please refer this tipFebruary 11, 2016 at 4:25 pm #27636charlycervantesSpectatori have the same problem but my hosting is hostgator some solution? https://makeitworktv.com.mx/February 11, 2016 at 8:13 pm #27673jgerstParticipantNo, when I am redirected, there is no error or anything. It cleanly goes to the wp login screen. This is very frustrating to users. I need to find some solution. This was not a problem until a few weeks ago. As mentioned, I deactivated all 3rd party plugins but the issue persists.February 15, 2016 at 2:48 pm #28778Anshuman SahuKeymasterHave you tried deactivating the third party plugins for this ? Please try deactivating all the third party plugins at once to check the issue .February 15, 2016 at 2:50 pm #28783jgerstParticipant<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: normal;">Yes, I did deactivate all 3rd party plugins; no change, problem persists.</span>February 16, 2016 at 1:36 pm #29111H.K. LatiyanParticipantI checked your site and found out: The post variables are same when I try to login from the website and from the wp-login.php. I tried to deactivate some of your plugins but with no success. Then I used the default buddypress login widget on your blog page, refer: http://www.communitelligence.com/blog-3/ Still with no success, which proves that its not the theme but your server or plugin configuration which is causing the problem. Please try contacting your webhost.February 17, 2016 at 8:38 pm #29669jgerstParticipantProblem solved by my web host (liquidweb):
You should be all set! I found that the issue was due to Mod_Security. When you attempt to log in using the login form provided by the theme, Mod_Security saw that as it was trying to then connect to the wp-login.php file and it blocked it. I have whitelisted the rule that was being triggered and now logging in from the form on the homepage allows you to login
Thanks to all who worked on this issue. JohnFebruary 18, 2016 at 10:22 am #29865H.K. LatiyanParticipantThanx for confirming. So marking the topic as resolved and closing the topic. -
