Well we would need to check its code and im sure its doing something with javascript rather than php .
Most latex plugins runs on the_content wordpress filter and Wplms supports all these kind of plugins which includes wp quicklatex and jetpack's beautiful math plugin .
ACtually you need to contact the mathjax plguin author and ask him if this plugin is ajax compatible or not ?
Or what javascript event we should trigger to parse mathjax shortcodes ?

Well im not sure about the plugin that you are using .
We have tested it using beautiful math by jectpack :
https://jetpack.com/support/beautiful-math-with-latex/
https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/math-equations-in-wplms/
We will be exploring this plugin but can you please ask the plugin author about the javascript event trigger to render shortcode and loading the scripts with ajax ?

Well beautiful math from jetpack is working fine on my local test site :

you need to use the latex in shortcode form rather than writing it in raw format :
for example :
[latex]i\hbar\frac{\partial}{\partial t}\left|\Psi(t)\right>=H\left|\Psi(t)\right>[/latex]
