June 16, 2017 at 8:15 am #117157jono100SpectatorHi, The MyCred Points does NOT work when referring to courses. Obviously being an LMS course theme I think that users should be able to refer people to courses to get MyCred points. Currently if you refer to a course using MyCred E.g http://xxxxx.com/course/xxxxxxxxx/?mref=13 it does NOT give you any points for your referral, sign up, visits or what ever hook you have in your settings. I posted this issue over 3 months ago here https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/mycred-buddypress-conflict-not-working-for-custom-page-types/ It was then added to trello here: https://trello.com/c/QFNZnyN9/1285-issue-mref-not-works-on-course-page But this issue has not been fixed yet The problem is I have users waiting for this feature on my site and some are getting impatient. I just need an estimated time you think it might be fixed so I can tell them because some have been waiting for this for a while. 1.) When do you think this might be fixed? I know you can't give a definite date as problems can come up etc...I'm Just looking for an estimate on when you think it might be fixed? Regards, JonathanJune 17, 2017 at 5:57 am #117276Anshuman SahuKeymasterCan you please provide your : site url , admin credentials , and a valid FTP credentials to check this issue at your end . PS :mark reply as private while sharing credentials .June 18, 2017 at 7:22 am #117355jono100SpectatorI was told it would be fixed in an update, it was added to trelle here but It was never actually fixed and it's been over 3 months. I just wanted to know how long this update here will be so I can let my users know? Are we talking days, weeks, months? I've given you the login and example in private posts below if you wanted to check it out. The wordpress user simply adds their MyCred mref ID to the end of any Course URL they want to promote. So it should work with all courses by default (all courses available now and also any courses you add in the future) Below are FTP login details and also login for where you can find the mref settingsJune 22, 2017 at 10:06 am #117895jono100SpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.June 23, 2017 at 12:46 pm #118132Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell I added the code in your wplms customizer.php file .Can you please check referral now? I access the home page also with refferal link but it did not award any points . Can you please share steps how does it works .Maybe Im missing something .June 24, 2017 at 9:44 am #118265jono100SpectatorHi Points are awarded for sign ups, but you do NOT need to sign up to see if its working. If the ?mref=123 goes away after loading then that means it's working: So If you go to https://example.com?mref=123 then after it loads if it goes to https://example.com then its working. Same goes for courses, so if you go to https://example.com/course/name-of-course?mref=123 then when it loads if it goes to https://example.com/course/name-of-course then its working. NOTE: You will also need to clear you cookies for it to work. I tried the home page and its working, however the courses pages are still not working. Read here for more info: https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/mycred-buddypress-conflict-not-working-for-custom-page-types/ You'll see this issue was added to trello about 6 posts down. "Well I added the code in your wplms customizer.php file .Can you please check referral now?" 1.) This did not seem to fix this issue, could you please remove the code in the customizer.php file so it goes back to the way it was originally? Let me know if you have any questions and how best we can solve this or if its better to wait for the fix hereJune 24, 2017 at 9:50 am #118266jono100SpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.June 24, 2017 at 2:06 pm #118302Anshuman SahuKeymasterOk I debugged this and found out that this issue is actually related to the buddypress and mycred . Our course post type is actually buddy-press registred component also and this mycred feature does not runs on buddypress components . To fix this I have to change some code in mycred plguin itself . here is the iindicated change : http://prntscr.com/fnn14p Please report this issue to mycred plugin also and suggest them this fix .June 25, 2017 at 2:42 am #118356jono100SpectatorYour the best, It's working with courses :) 1.) So when I update the MyCred Plugin do you think it might change the mycred-referrals.php file back to default? If so, should I go to mycred > incudes > mycred-referrals.php and change line 20 to "1" when I update the MyCred plugin in the future? I have also sent an email to MyCred to report this issue. CheersJune 26, 2017 at 12:58 pm #118426Anshuman SahuKeymasterYup you have to go to mycred > incudes > mycred-referrals.php and change line 20 to "1" when I update the MyCred plugin in the future But please do report this issue to mycred plugin author or support so they can add this fix after reviewing it .
