February 4, 2019 at 9:55 pm #195238CharlielynParticipantI am having problems with my site, likely because things need to be updated. I am trying to fix this in the STAGING SITE version so I don't break anything. I am behind 1 version of WPLMS (at 3.6) and cannot update that automatically. http://prntscr.com/mgnm8u I am following your youtube instructions for updating Js composer. I have deleted js composer through filezilla per your instruction. Under plugins, I do not have an "install plugins" link, so I cannot proceed. Please help.February 4, 2019 at 9:58 pm #195239CharlielynParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.February 5, 2019 at 1:23 pm #195379loganMemberHey, You are using an old api for theme that is why this is happening. Please refer this video to update the theme manually: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAxv6SwAgtw Kind RegardsFebruary 5, 2019 at 2:27 pm #195395CharlielynParticipantDo you have a youtube tip for doing this by way of filezilla? I do not have C-panel type hosting (and I do not need to backup since my hosting does that automatically).February 6, 2019 at 1:17 pm #195546loganMemberHello, The problem with ftp is you can upload file but cant extract by the ftp. first download the theme and extract on your local machine. then copy all folders from local host to wp-admin/theme folder as guided in video tutorial. let me know if there is anything else.February 6, 2019 at 8:00 pm #195616CharlielynParticipantI need clarification on how to "copy all folders from local host" because my hosting only allows me Filezilla-type access, not C-panel. I have extracted all the files leaving me with 3 folders within: themeforest-6780226-wplms-learning-management-system-wordpress-theme FOLDER.. FOLDER _MACOSX FOLDER wplms I moved the ENTIRE FOLDER: themeforest-6780226-wplms-learning-management-system-wordpress-theme. THIS BROKE THE STAGING SITE (I have now restored it back to before I did that). In filezilla, which folder on my computer should I upload into wp-content > themes > wplms? FOLDER _MACOSX? Also, what php level is required for this theme to work properly?February 7, 2019 at 11:48 am #195732loganMemberHello, The folder wplms is main theme folder. you have to upload this one. you could also try uploading from wp-admin > appearance > themes > upload new > upload. Refer: http://prntscr.com/mhupiq The above step only works if you have a fast processor with max execution time. if it fails then last option is to use ftp. copy the wplms folder into wp-content/ theme Refer: http://prntscr.com/mhuruw
Q: what php level is required for this theme to work properly? A: 5.6 - 7.2
Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.February 11, 2019 at 4:38 pm #196278CharlielynParticipantThank you. I have successfully updated the WPLMS theme. Could you provide me the link for how to update WPBakery Visual Composer. I have version 5.1.1 installed. Need to update to 5.6. Thank you.February 12, 2019 at 6:22 am #196335loganMemberHello, Wp-bakery is a paid plugin and we have purchased its licence. we using version of 5.5. Refer: http://prntscr.com/mjw2li If there is an update first we test its compatibility with our theme and then update it. i hope you understand what i mean. Wplms 3.9 is fully compatible with elementor plugin. we have integrated wplms with elementor with some extra widgets. demo 12 is also made with elementor. give it a try. *we can share wp-bakery 5.5 via mail. please share your mail id in a private reply. we will send you the zip version of plugin.February 26, 2019 at 8:56 am #198455sweetpwebParticipantHello, I just purchased this theme and I didn't install the EventOn plugin during the required plugin installation. Now I don't have any access to the "Install PLugins" menu item under Appearance where it would normally be and cannot install the plugin. Here are some screenshots: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3887272/880398a01e3b771a3e7656a4a49de6e3 https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3887274/9575126df52cf0b3b9af4e76c7befdb7 Incidentally I am having a variety of other issues with the theme including menu changes not saving (e.g. when I activate a mega menu item, I cannot turn that off and have to remove the item completely), so I am not sure if those are related or not.February 26, 2019 at 1:26 pm #198495loganMemberHello, Welcome to WPLMS forums. Please create your own topic , it is considered impolite when you start replying on other's support topic. if we need to check site we can ask you credentials. if i ask you credentials on someone's topic and if you share your credentials , they will get an email with your credentials. it is not good for security reason. Thanks -
