I am looking for a way to protect my videos from students downloading them for free etc.
I currently have Godaddy Wordpress Hosting for my site hosting. I recently purchased Vimeo Pro Account because I thought it would be able to protect videos for my streaming online lesson site not allowing students to download the videos.
I have a Copy Right plugin installed that disables all right clicking and keyboard short cut keys from preventing students to be able to right click and inspect element on my site.
The plugin covers all my content accept the vimeo video.
Right now if a video is hosted on vimeo. All you have to do is right click inspect element, get the exact url, access page, and save video as in order to steal content.
Is there anything I can do in order to protect the videos from being downloaded so easily? Please let me know what you recommend? Is there away to make that Copy Right plugin also apply on the Vimeo Video on my site?

Those setting are all active.. however it is easy to right click inspect element.. or VIEW > SOURCE CODE etc to get access to direct URL and then download video..
Do you have any solutions to scrambling source code or making it difficult to find direct URL etc?
Currently video privacy options is not available in wplms by default we only recommends to either secure video hosting and then embed theme using iframes in units .

What options are available besides, VdoCipher, Vzaar, Brightcove etc.etc?
s3 Amazon seams great but then you need a player, any suggestions besides jwplayer that is quite expensive..

wordpress already have its built in video player .
aha, nice. I see, that you can also use flowplayer with wplms. Which player is prefered, does the wordpress player have enough security? I guess there isn't any analytics on the wordpress player?
For security you can use the wplms-s3 plugin . This will make link expire when the video is loaded fully in the browser and user can no longer download the video by accessing the video link directly .
YOu can use that flowplayer with wplms .
Alex I was told your team is developing the same thing for Vimeo. And it will be released soon. Is this still true?
I use video because it offers unlimited views as s3 is pay per use on views.
Yes we are developing a video plugin for this and tentatively it will be released next month .
