Profile Field Text Area Max Character or Word Length

I am looking for a solution make me can limit the number of words or characters ,either is fine, that user is able to type into the profile field text area or tell me how to use wordpress functions wp_trim_words() to excerpt the wordings print in appointment directory. https://prnt.sc/ynsx16 (set in WP>Users>Profile Fields as a Multi Line Text Area) Reason for this being that I want to include a small bio in appointment directory, didnt want user go crazy to write their whole life story on that.
