September 3, 2020 at 7:49 am #300376szabonyelviskolaSpectatorI have made a new page in Elementor for the registration form, using the shortcode generated in LMS->settings-> registration form. After this I have changed the default Register page the newly created elementor page named Registration in settings->buddypress->page. And unfortunately, some strange mix was displayed. The layout of the page was as the default, not as in new elementor page connected in settings->buddypress, the content was there in wrong layout twice. First as it is on shortcode and at the end again as it was in the default Register page. I have tried with different pages, so connected them in settings->buddypress->pages->registration field. Even if the page was empty, if it was connected to that point the old Register page information come up somehow after the connected page like a header. It is like a template pushed to always be part of the page which is set. How can I switch of this template to show only my page with my new layout?September 4, 2020 at 6:36 am #300694VeronicaModeratorhi, may I know which version you are using of the theme? version 3 or version4? if version 4 then register will work like this: http://prntscr.com/ubbfx1September 4, 2020 at 9:29 am #300747szabonyelviskolaSpectatorI'm on 3.9.9. because of quiz issues... I have switched to another solution to solve my problem quickly but I still have problems with that solution. I have changed in WPLMS to Ajax login es registration, to avoid the page push problem. My shortcode working good in Ajax except at the end, when you press the Register button. It is stuck in loading and it seems that the process will never end. However, if you reload the page you are logged in. So the problem is that after Registration the redirection to the chosen page is not working. I have choosen page for redirection at LMS settings login redirection settings. I have tried several, always stuck... I have made 2 screenshots about the situation before pressing the Regist button and after the pressing in Develop mode. After pressing I got a 500 internal server error from Ajax script... before: https://prnt.sc/ubeo4l after: https://prnt.sc/ubeojo Please check and give me a solution quickly. I need it urgently for my client.September 5, 2020 at 1:24 pm #301152Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell you did mistake here : I have changed the default Register page the newly created elementor page named Registration in settings->buddypress->page. Should not have done that . please de-select this page from there and then goto wp-admin - > wplms -> buddypress -> select custom register page -> select your elementor page here .September 5, 2020 at 1:52 pm #301159szabonyelviskolaSpectatorThanks for this, but I have already changed my registration process to AJAX and I have the above problem with redirecting 500 internal server error in ajax script... I need a solution for this because the tutorial was sent out based on this Ajax registration. Please check the screenshots it shouldn't be a big issue who knows the code. Thanks in advanceSeptember 7, 2020 at 1:17 pm #301455Anshuman SahuKeymasterThis could be this issue in buddypress and they have provided a quick fix : you need to login via ftp or cpanel -> file manager . Navigate to wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/classes/class-bp-phpmailer.php file and then make this change : https://prnt.sc/uc1q2jSeptember 7, 2020 at 9:11 pm #301516szabonyelviskolaSpectatorThanks for the idea. I have tried but does not solve the problem. In the meantime, I have found out that with the deactivated ithemes security plugin I do not have internal server error... It should be some conflict in page redirection and security protocols... I will try another security software to check the issue...September 8, 2020 at 3:25 pm #301769Anshuman SahuKeymasterThis reply has been marked as private.September 9, 2020 at 3:52 pm #302085szabonyelviskolaSpectatorI have found a workaround for the problem. I think the reason of problem was the "register and login simultaneously" switch in LMS registering setup. After switching off this the internal server error problem disappeared. And this also solved another problem with activation. If this switch was on, the activation page never appeared after clicking on the link in activation mail. So this switch is very dangerous and I do not recommend to anybody to use it. Register, activate and after login. If you log in earlier than activated, the activation will fail. you have to log out to be able to activate the user successfully. So it is better not log in before activation. There are two issues witch would be great to solve: 1. After clicking the Register button, it would be good to display a message: "Activation email sent, please read it and click the link" or something like this, to tell the user what to do next. 2. In activation mail the system never find the name of the user. {{recipient.name}} Check the screen: https://prnt.sc/uedtay The mails later on after activation are ok.September 9, 2020 at 6:12 pm #302112szabonyelviskolaSpectator
I have found the message what I have asked for. It was under the Register button when scroll down, and invisible. I have already changed the css and now it is visible.
In activation mail the system never find the name of the user. {{recipient.name}} Check the screen: https://prnt.sc/uedtay
is still a problem!
