    Please use wangaurd plugin to control spam registrations : https://wordpress.org/plugins/wangguard/ Also use any buddypress captcha pluign to stop spamming .

    Well only wangaurd plugin can help with the issues with the wangaurd plugin . For captcha you can use any third party plugin that can add a captcha in buddypress register form .
