December 22, 2015 at 7:28 am #15062peppiesSpectatorStudents are unable to complete the checkout because they get this error when clicking on ORDER button: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate Certificate has been installed correctly and has been working perfectly fine for months. Expires in almost 3 years. I spent hours with the host trying to fix, but they're suggesting it would be a script issue. Not sure where to start. Other guy reported this here 3 weeks ago, but the ticket doesn't mention the fix: https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/ssl-certificate-problem/December 22, 2015 at 2:22 pm #15156sandyMemberThe issue referenced above is totally different from your issue. Was the certificate working fine with WPLMS previously? If yes, have you installed any third party plugin lately or have you done any other major change in the site. What was the last step after which the certificate stopped working.December 22, 2015 at 2:59 pm #15175peppiesSpectatorYes the certificate has been working perfectly fine since August. Sales have been coming through until 18 December. Nothing major has been done, after that date: buddypress update jetpack update smart coupons plugin update gravity forms quiz install subscriptions 2.0.7 update I tried to deactivate these plugins completely and test payment but it still gives the same error. I even tried to downgrade the subscriptions plugin back to 2.0.6. What else could be causing this?December 22, 2015 at 3:03 pm #15177peppiesSpectatorand I can see this error in a console: Failed to clear temp storage: It was determined that certain files are unsafe for access within a Web application, or that too many calls are being made on file resources. SecurityErrorDecember 23, 2015 at 3:55 pm #15363peppiesSpectatorI would really appreciate if you could help me find what is causing this if not fix it. The host already re-compliled PHP-Apache and re-installed CurlSSL on my server. They even had cPanel support who didn't find any issues with the server. Deactivating the above plugins didn't help either. website: https://www.proudphotography.com username: vibethemes password: 2NIGjWBA@vDOAESXR&p64X04 Steps to reproduce the issue: 1. turn on Paypal checkout in Woocommerce settings 2. Try to order any course using Paypal option 3. see if you are redirected to Paypal or get a SSL error Thank you very much!December 26, 2015 at 3:58 am #15551peppiesSpectatorCan you please help with this urgently? I have funds happy to release for a fix.December 26, 2015 at 4:54 am #15552peppiesSpectatorUpdate: after days of trying to figure out this ssl problem I finally discovered that this is a common problem with Wordpress 4.4 (source: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34372305/im-getting-a-sudden-fatal-error-using-woocommerce-subscriptions-in-wordpress-ad/34372530#34372530) The fix is to replace the .CRT file inside /wp-includes/certificates/ca-bundle.crt with the file provided by Woothemes.December 26, 2015 at 12:48 pm #15635Anshuman SahuKeymasterMany thanks for sharing the solution here .January 6, 2016 at 9:57 pm #17047BAMParticipant@peppies would you mind sharing a little more detail I am about to make my site SSL for example where is this file that your talking about? Also @Alex do you know of any current problems with SSL and WPLMS that have not been resolved if I make the change over to SSL Thanks for the info..!January 7, 2016 at 7:27 am #17117peppiesSpectatorHey BAM, Wordpress fixed the certificate bundle issue in their latest update that came out today (4.4.1) so you should not experience what I have pulling my hair out for 3 days. They apparently removed incorrect certificates from the core. One thing that I will mention if you're going to HTTPS for the entire website like I did, this plugin makes it remarkably easy and efficient, so that your visitors never see any insecure content elements errors (it rewrites all local image paths to HTTPS protocol): WordPress HTTPS, located here.January 7, 2016 at 8:01 am #17130BAMParticipantHi @Peppies thanks for the feedback and the plugin. Although I am not sure about that plugin it says its been 3 years since it has been updated. Did you have any problem after the change with Google or others since the URL changed?
