Do I have the right set up? The course page is the page you land on when you hit the course in the directory, right? It uses the 'course status' page which uses the Start Course Page template ? I have all these settings and no button. I removed the show_add_to_cart_button_on_take_this_course function and the add to basket disappeared but still no take course button. I replaced the code and still no button!! What settings control this very basic function and why is it so easy to remove by accident!!!?

I checked your website and I am not sure why but your child theme's style.css file contains a custom css which hides the course button, refer:

Please remove this custom css and it will work fine.
HI, so I have removed the css to hide the button and it is showing but it does not update the amount of students when I purchase or when i enter it in '<span style="color: #23282d; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold;">Total number of Students in Course'. </span>Should it also say '10/14 seats left' mine just say 10 seats available.

No we do not show it this way, we show the total number of seats in the course details widget and on the take this course button we show the totoal number of seats left.
Can you please share a course url where the issue is coming on your website.

I checked your website and found the following:
- The course menu is missing in your course, I guess you have customized it accordingly.
- I purchased the course but still I could see the take this course button and not the start course button.
- I tried to make changes in the code from where we show the text on the course button but its not reflecting.
- This could be a heavy caching on your website or your customizations.

Thanks for deactivating the child theme and activating the default theme.

I added myself in the course and I can see the seats available reduces by one.
This clarifies that the issue is coming from your customizations and not from the wplms theme.
Hi Thanks. Yes I have put it back to mine and it says 9 seats, great. But when I buy one it still stays at 9. Am I supposed to do something to confirm the purchase/enrolment? Something that will change the amount of seats available? Or is it totally automatic?
