June 25, 2020 at 12:19 pm #270618InterMediaKTParticipantHello, I am trying to set the translated units to a translated course for the Curicculum and it doesn't works. I don't know why is happening, but I cannot save and complete my platform. If you know how I could save translated units to translated courses please answer this post. Thank you in advance!June 26, 2020 at 5:14 am #270753DianaParticipant@intermediakt Translated units? Are you using WPML plugin, a multilingual, or a multisite setup? Because no need to translate the unit as units can be named and created in any language.June 26, 2020 at 8:16 am #270810InterMediaKTParticipant@Diana Yes, I am using the WPML plugin and our website is multilingual and not multisite. For example, from the Greek translated course, when I click the curiculum it is appearing the EN language and the EN Units. And also this is because of the EN interface. See the image below. http://prntscr.com/t6s2e0 How I can translate it and change it to Greek? This is the same problem when I click to edit the course, it navigates me to the english setup of edit page (I have translated the create course page with the WPML plugin). How I can change it? Thank you in advance http://prntscr.com/t6s7l6June 26, 2020 at 1:06 pm #270876InterMediaKTParticipant@ Diana Should I change something from this WPML section? Check the image below. http://prntscr.com/t6xziz Thank you in advanceJune 27, 2020 at 1:27 pm #271189JacksonBlockedHello, you have to perform two different translation for two different languages. please confirm have you performed it? if yes then please let me know the steps that you have performed so i can check if it is right or not. here is the complete tip to trans;late it in perfect manner: this can be done via loco translate you have to search the string and then translate it. search this in themes and plugin one by one. yes this can be happen with the help of loco translate plugin. refer to this tip: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/translate-using-loco-translate-plugin/ you need to translate every string from all plugins and theme. translated them one by one. On every update local files will be affected so that you need to put these translated files into global folders. it will prevent string loss from the update. here is how you can achieve this. Note: in this, I am using my local test setup site language which is "Português do Brasil". you have to select your site language. Always sync and save the pot file Note: Always copy local .Po | .Mo files into the global folder. it will prevent from translation string loss while updating theme/ plugins 1 then goto wp-admin > loco translate > theme/plugin > theme name / plugin name. 2 Copy author file to system file. 3 the author stands for local file and the system stands for the global file. 4 once your done copying. from now you have to translate a string in global (system) file. These steps should be followed for all plugins and themes in which you are making any changes.June 29, 2020 at 7:42 am #271464InterMediaKTParticipantHi @Jackson, Thank you for your answer. In my case, I have translate my platform to 5 languages (Italian, Polish, Turkish, Lituanian and Greek). The steps that I follow was:
- Install and run the WPML plugin
- Then translate in order all the units, the questions, the quizzes and finally the courses in Italian.
- Finally I switch from English to Italian inside the wordpress in order to change the answers for the translated questions, and modify the order inside the quizzes and the courses.
- Then I repeat the steps 2 & 3 for all the languages.
