Upgrade Assistance from 3.9.8.1 to 4.097 (latest version)

Hello, I would like some up-to-date update assistance in order to prevent well known pitfalls or other problems previously identified, as my site is fully operational and it would be highly undesirable to have an interruption. I'm willing to update my WPLMS theme from version 3.9.8.1 to the latest stable version (currently 4.097). Because some information about upgrading are scattered between youtube videos and knowledge base articles, please could you point out a step-by-step instruction (for example: follow the video XX then apply article YYY)? Also, could you point out the knowledge base article that specify what features/plugins are currently *not* available/working anymore (h5p? Scorm compatibility?)? I didn't find it.
