Any updates on the VIMEO solution for content protection? I'm very interested too. Thank youMarch 8, 2016 at 3:03 am #34818ec17337fdf4cf539bd6baad0ef861fc1ParticipantIs there any way to achieve this without using a service like Vimeo, S3, Wistia etc? I just want to store the videos somewhere that won't cost me anything. If this is not supported, is there a third party plugin that you know of that would be helpful?March 10, 2016 at 8:23 am #35370DannySpectatorHi Guys, If/when there will be a hosting solution via Vimeo, which account is required on Vimeo in order to host the videos? I have read about users on Vimeo that have received these email notifications from Vimeo. "We see that you are using Vimeo for uploading commercial content. We’re sorry, but as stated in our Terms and Conditions of Use, on our Community Guidelines page, and on the upload page itself, Vimeo is for noncommercial use only, and we cannot host this content for you. Please take 24 hours to move your videos to another hosting service" According to their guidelines. "You may not upload commercials, infomercials, or demos that actively sell or promote a product or service." If we need to use the Vimeo PRO account, that´s around $180 per year. Is this fee high compared to Amazon S3?April 3, 2016 at 4:08 am #40585aliwoodrhcParticipantHello, Please advise if there has been any updates regarding the Vimeo protection. I am willing to pay for this plugin. I just re activated my support for a year. Please I have been waiting patiently. I can't launch my site until this issue has been resolved. I dont mind mind paying the full rate of having it developed.April 3, 2016 at 9:39 am #40609No OneSpectator

I'm also very interested and would greatly value this – with the upload feature.

April 12, 2016 at 9:39 pm #42647tongercoreSpectatorThis thread has started 5 months ago and I don't see any progress With me, there are a lot of people in need for a plugin through wich a Teacher/Instructor can upload a video to a Vimeo Pro account. I can't wait any longer and I am willing to hire a developer to build such functionality. I already have found a developer who wants to build it for me. (this only includes the uploading to a Vimeo Pro account as instructor/teacher) The costs for development are estimated at 2400 USD, so I wanted to know if there are people who were willing to buy the plugin from me after development for an "X" amount. If you are interested can you please tell me what's a reasonable price for the plugin you are willing to pay and what specific additional requirements you may have for such a plugin. Thanks in advanceApril 13, 2016 at 5:41 am #42676MrVibeKeymasterTrack this link : https://trello.com/c/dcKN6LKZApril 13, 2016 at 2:39 pm #42798aliwoodrhcParticipantThank you Mr. VIBE and staff, we understand you have a hectic schedule and hope you are not bothered by us continuesly asking. I need to make sure I am able to protect the instructots intellectual property as best as I can before i lauch my site for legality reasons. I dont mind waiting longer, I just need to know roughly how long it will take so I can plan accordingly. Tongercore Having it upload to Vimeo is the easy part. You need to make sure the plug scrambles the vimeo direct link. Vimeo is the easiest site to rip because the direct links are unprotected and a simple right click will allow you to save video as. So you need encription to make sure the video url is not accessable from View Page Source or Inspect Element. Also we need to make sure it will always be updated to work with latest version of wordpress and WPLMS. I rather wait for Mr. VIBE and Alex to finish the pluggig. Hoepfully they catch up with all there other tasks to get to this.April 13, 2016 at 4:13 pm #42812tongercoreSpectatorMr Vibe, The Trello card shows me that is a "planned" requirement. It is planned for several month's. Te requirement is not working on at the moment and I can't see when you are going to build on it. I know you are very busy but this is crucial for my going live moment of the website. Can you give us a hint when you expect to pick this up? Is it witin a month or are we talking about months. I can wait one month but I can not wait several months. Please let me know so I know if I have to let develop it by my developer or not Thanks in advanceApril 13, 2016 at 4:52 pm #42817ulysseswSpectatorWhy don't you guys try some other video hosting services? I suppose most of the owners in this thread have multiple instructors/teachers, which is why requiring this plugin. The key considerations of a LMS with videos tutorials: - Teachers must be able to upload their own videos, and not able to access to other instructors' uploads. This means the video hosting provider must be able to let you create sub-users. - Videos must be only able to play on your specified site/s. - Must not allow manual download of videos. - Video uploads must be encoded, so that the video output of all your courses is consistent in quality. - Preferably video hosting provider also have other security and marketing and analytics features. Once you have identified a video host that can meet the above requirements, then there is no need to wait for the plugin. Your instructors/teachers can manually copy the embed code and paste in the Units when they create the course.April 13, 2016 at 5:16 pm #42818tongercoreSpectatorHello Ulyssesw, Do you know of a video hosting service that's offering the options you mentioned? I can't find one offering them all Thanks in advanceApril 16, 2016 at 12:16 am #43230aliwoodrhcParticipantUlyssesw, The ones that offer all of the mentioned capabilities you listed charge per usage (streaming). Which will not work well in my situation. I need to have a video hosting similar to Vimeo that offers quality hosting and play backs with unlimited usage for a set price Less than $500 a year. Pay per use can add up quick for the number of expected views. With lesson videos, people watch the same videos over and over again.. Pay per use is not the smartest business structure.
